If we are the richest, most powerful country in the world, if we are the only remaining superpower, and this is the best we can do, how sad is that? Our fellow citizens are basically living in the equivalent of a war-torn country. (Read the post "The Real News" on Sept 1, 2005 and look at the photos here and here.
Dang, President Bush, your record for dealing with national disasters is not looking good....
On another note, what must be going through the minds of homeless people in say....LA? MILLIONS of dollars are being poured out to help those in New Orleans, but nothing is being spent to help the homeless here. I wonder what's going through their minds.
