Last night was Bmao's birthday. (Well, technically, yesterday was Bmao's birthday, but whatever)

At work, I'm IMing with co-conspirator/cohort/fellow planning-committee-member RY.

me: "it's 4:00pm. only 3 hrs left"
RY: "you're more excited about tonight than BM!"

The truth is, I'm not more excited about tonight (last night). I just can't wait for it to be over.

Throwing a birthday party is like a wedding. Someone else does the planning, invites the people, makes the reservations, and coordinates with a billion different people who don't response to their evite until the day of. Oh wait, weddings are nothing like that. You have to do it all yourself. And you don't use evite. (ooo, another million dollar idea?) But still, when the day comes, you wonder if you planned for everything, you hope everything goes off without a hitch, (or in the case of a wedding, you hope people do get hitched) (get it? hitched? hahahahhha) (yeah, it's sad that I laugh at my own jokes) and you are anxious to see if your plans will come to fruition. Meanwhile, the Birthday-person is hopefully enjoying him/herself. Kinda like the wedding day when the couple is supposed to enjoy themselves and the slaves wedding party is supposed to take care of everything.

Which all goes back to my plan of getting married in Hawaii and buying one of those all-in-one-step-off-the-plane-and-everything-is-prepared-for-you packages. Future wife, are you reading this? Don't worry, I got it all under control.

Haha, my post sounds like I didn't enjoy the party. Didn't mean for it to sound that way. It was definitely a fun night.
