excuse me, you see this space? yeah, it's mine

Yesterday, we had group presentations in my class. We were presenting game engines and were using the LCD projector. During one of the presentations, a student walks and stands RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, blocking my view, and proceeds to present his slides. I'm sitting in my chair thinking, Is this guy gonna move? Doesn't he feel uncomfortable standing so close to me? Does he even know he is blocking my view? Apparently not. You know how people shuffle their feet back and forth when they present stuff? He kept RUNNING INTO ME. He was literally touching me while he was presenting. I couldn't move away because we were sitting in rolling chairs and I was already against the side with people sitting around me. Possibly the most uncomfortable 10 minutes I've ever experienced. Then again, I haven't embarrassed myself in front of my gf/fiance/wife's friends/siblings/parents yet, so who knows what God has in store for me? I can't wait.

Do people not understand the concept of personal space? I would blame it on his ethnicity (Indian--you know, maybe it's so crowded over there they get scared when they have empty space around them--yes, that's a racist comment, but Asians are racist), but there are plenty of Americans that have to stand within licking-distance to your face when they talk to you. I don't get it. And I don't want to. Please just stand a reasonable distance away from me when you converse with me. OR ARE PRESENTING SLIDES THAT I'M SUPPOSED TO SEE.
